READING CLUB MEETING
Yesterday afternoon, the Reading Club was immersed in a passionate debate about “Washington Square”, the famous novel by Henry James.
Through the complex relationships between his characters, James critiques the 19th-century New York middle class, which was obsessed with reputation and status.
A very enriching meeting!
