NEW READING – Book Club
The Novelda Public Library continues with the Book Club, aimed at students or anyone interested in practicing English with a level A2/B1 or higher to read and comment on the books lent by the Library.
The reading proposed for the month of January is “Six Boys from Tonga” and it is available for loan at the General Library of Novelda. You just need to have the reader card of the Public Library Network of the Valencian Community (free).
This is the fascinating true story of six boys who set out from Tonga on a stolen boat, in search of adventure. Reality hits them when a storm at sea destroys much of their boat. The boys face hunger, thirst and endless sun for several days before seeing land in the distance. They arrive on an island and start the difficult tasks of finding food and building shelter. How will their story end?
Each participant will read and listen to the proposed book individually and at the meeting they will be able to ask, comment and debate in English anything they wish.
The meetings will be on the last Tuesday of each month at 6 pm at the Novelda Culture House.
The sessions will be guided by Pepe Requena.
Ideal for intermediate level English learners looking to improve or practise their English. The book is full of useful vocabulary that is carefully graded and easy to understand; It also comes with audio, so you can listen to the story while you read.
